WELCOME TO SYCAMORE CANYON SCHOOL! 

Principal’s Message . . .
On behalf of the total Sycamore Canyon School Community, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the Sycamore Canyon Family! 

A Little History:
In February 2001, the process of getting Sycamore Canyon ready to open its doors for the 2001-2002 school year began.  From that very moment, parents, community members, District Office personnel, and the Cypress staff offered their support and assistance.   Believing in “TOGETHER WE CAN”, we opened our school on Cypress Campus creating a school-within-a-school opportunity.  Our first year was a success!  As the song created by the PTA stated, “We may not have walls or walkways of our own but we’ve got our Sycamore Spirit and Pride!” 

In August 2002, we added the 6^th Grade Program and opened the doors to our “new” building for a successful 2002-2003 school year!

In August 2003, we added 7^th Grade creating the Middle School Program with Grades 6^th and 7^th.  Although our Middle School “building” was not yet completed, portables were used to house the Middle School Program, yet again proving NOT having an actual Middle School building doesn’t mean teachers can’t teach and students won’t learn.  The ending result . . .yet another successful 2003-2004 school year!

Finally September 2004, we have added 8th grade completing our Middle School Program of Grades 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th! 

By working together, we will ALL benefit from new opportunities and new ideas that will make us a stronger educational system in the future!

TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE OUR SCHOOL A SUCCESS!
